POKEMAS LAB GUIDE
Narrow down candidates with sync grid search
Start with a broad set of candidates for the effect you want, then check each tile's requirements.
1. Enter the desired effect
Enter part of a tile name or effect in the grid filter. Start with a short role description, such as sun extension or gauge recovery. Separate terms with Japanese commas, commas or newlines. Spaces alone do not separate conditions.
Type and role filters narrow results. If too many filters produce no matches, remove type or role restrictions and review the grid terms first.
2. Choose all or any matches
| Value | Input examples: Sun extension, gauge recovery |
|---|---|
| All matches (AND) | Find pairs with tiles matching both terms. |
| Any match (OR) | Candidates need to match either term. |
AND does not require both terms in one tile. Separate tiles can match. Having both tiles is different from being able to select them together within the path and energy limits. Search does not validate a grid setup.
3. Use fuzzy search for uncertain spelling
Fuzzy search handles supported variants, synonyms and typos. It cannot understand every paraphrase. If results are too broad, disable it and use wording closer to the game.
With fuzzy search disabled, spelling is normalized and names and descriptions use partial matching. This is not an exact-match-only setting.
4. Check tiles in the details tab
Selecting a result opens details in a new tab; matching grid rows are highlighted. Move-level filtering shows requirements at or below your selected level. Energy is each tile's cost; the table does not total required paths.
Flat stat and move-power tiles are hidden initially. If a tile is missing, disable those options and check the form, move level and effect-category filters.
5. Build a grid setup
On desktop, hover to check a name and click to select or remove. On mobile, the first tap shows effects, move level and energy. Tap the same tile again to select or remove.
Selecting a tile also selects its path. Pastel colors indicate tile types, and checks and borders indicate selection. Watch total energy above the grid and build within 70. Start from a preset or save a setup in this browser.
6. Use it in the damage calculator
Damage Calculatoralso supports the same grid. Attack or Sp. Atk and the chosen move's power are added automatically; conditional effects use your selected prerequisites. Enter only non-grid modifiers manually. Saved setups and presets are available.
Check before choosing a pair
- Do you meet the move level and additional unlock requirements?
- Can you select the desired tiles together with their paths and energy costs?
- Does the target, timing and use limit fit your purpose?
