Super Sparring Villain teams: three distinct teams and a 180-second damage comparison

Start with three teams that share no sync pairs

This set reserves Ethan (Champion) for Brendan and assigns Gloria (Anniversary 2025) to Serena. Lucas (Champion) and Hilbert (Champion) join the Hilbert battle. None of the nine sync pairs is reused.

Of the 125 combinations formed from each battle's top five candidates, 92 contained no repeated sync pairs. This example was selected by comparing those 92 combinations. The index sum on the same defense basis was 5,103,444,811. This is not an overall score calculated using each opponent's actual defenses and scoring conditions.

Calculation settings and what to check in battle

Shared training settings

All pairs are at move Lv. 5 with a grid energy cap of 70, 6★ EX, EX roles, and Superawakening enabled. A Support-role pair is not required.

Battle settings

180 seconds, starting sync buff 0. Hilbert has an Ice weakness and 3 opponents; Brendan has a Ground weakness and 1 opponent; Serena has a Fire weakness and 3 opponents. Attacks that are not supereffective also count.

Unconfirmed opponent settings

Defense and Sp. Def are unconfirmed. Starting sync buff 0 and zero resistance to Defense and Sp. Def reductions are calculation assumptions, not confirmed enemy values.

Actions and HP

Each cycle is approximated as 19 seconds. Everyone is treated as having 100% HP when checking buddy move HP conditions. Actual damage taken, gauge waits, and extra actions made possible by healing or survival do not add to the index.

Search scope

Candidates were searched from 666 released sync pairs, with main attackers restricted to the 49 Villain pairs. The grids of 16 saved teams were then reviewed further. This bounded search removed up to three tiles per grid swap, generated up to 128 states per candidate-generation pass, and reviewed the action orders of improved teams with a beam width of 24. It does not establish an optimum across all teams, grids, and action orders.

Approximations and unsupported effects in the selected teams

• Hilbert (Champion)'s effect that grants Sync Move ↑ Next to an ally when that ally attacks an opponent with a status condition is not supported and does not add to the index.
• Some additional effects are not modeled, including Defense and Sp. Def reductions that depend on how many times Arc Suit Silver has used his buddy move. Sygna Suit Lysandre (Alt.)'s random stat reductions are also not counted as targeted Defense or Sp. Def reductions.
• A circle's base duration is approximated as 50 seconds. When circles from different regions overlap, only the most recently activated circle is applied.
• Break's damage modifier for the corresponding move category is applied. Its duration is approximated as two regular opponent actions. Judge the practical value of Speed, gauge waits, and survival separately from the damage index.

Unsupported effects and assumed activations can cause the index to overestimate or underestimate performance. Treat the rankings as comparisons within these candidates and adjust for your roster and the actual opponents.
