Sync Countdown Reduction Ranking
Who has the most when every source is added up?
On entry, from moves, after sync moves, and after max moves. Beyond a single activation, how much countdown reduction does each sync pair have in total? We selected leading candidates from local data and checked their available uses, investment, and activation conditions.
Sygna Suit Ball Guy / Arezu (Summer 2026)
Fainting triggers add a large share of the total.
Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos
Entry, form changes, buddy moves, and a Tera move combined.
Ranking by total countdown reduction
Moves are counted for all available uses, while effects that activate only on the first successful attack are counted once. We also include guaranteed MP recovery from one-time triggers. The additional reduction of 3 after the first sync move from Sprint or an EX role of Sprint is included.
These ranks cover 10 checked leading candidates selected from the data for 666 sync pairs. They are not a final ranking from an exhaustive search of every condition and sync grid for every sync pair. Tied totals share the same rank.

“Entry / forms” covers first entry and form changes immediately after entry. “On / after sync” covers direct reductions from sync grid skills, Sprint, form changes, and similar sources. Reductions from buddy moves unlocked after a sync move are listed under “Moves.”
Ranking excluding reductions triggered by fainting
The totals are reranked after subtracting reductions that activate only when a sync pair faints.
Among the listed candidates, Juliana (Anniversary 2026) ranks first, while Blue (Anniversary 2026) and Harmony tie for second. The table below also reveals the names and totals hidden in the post image.
21 or 15: which should you choose?
The two pairs with 21 deliver their reductions very differently. Arezu (Summer 2026) gets 9 × 2 when two allied sync pairs faint. Sygna Suit Ball Guy uses the regional team count, Superawakening, EX role, his own sync move, and max move, then adds 9 when he faints. Excluding fainting triggers, Arezu has 3 and Ball Guy has 12.
Juliana (Anniversary 2026) reaches 15 through 1 on first entry + 2 on changing to Terastal Form + 3 × 2 from her non-Stellar buddy move + 3 on becoming Stellar + 3 from her Tera move. Use the non-Stellar buddy move twice before using her sync move to enter Stellar Form. This order is necessary. If she becomes Stellar first, Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm can no longer provide its reduction of 3.
A high total does not mean all of it will be useful when needed. Any reduction beyond the remaining countdown is wasted: if a reduction of 9 activates with only 2 remaining, only 2 is effective.
Countdown reduction breakdown by sync pair
Open each entry to check uses, required sync grid skills, and conditions for the maximum.
#1 · Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode (Hisuian Form)21
- Galar Rush (three Galar sync pairs): 3 × 1 use = 3
- Superawakening: on entry: 1 × 1 use = 1
- Remarka-ball Fireworks!: 1 × 1 use = 1
- Superawakening: after his first sync move: 1 × 1 use = 1
- EX role: Sprint: 3 × 1 use = 3
- MAX Countdown 3 (one max move by this pair): 3 × 1 use = 3
- INCREDIBALL!!!: 9 × 1 use = 9
Assumes three Galar sync pairs, Superawakening Lv. 5, and an EX role of Sprint. Includes his first sync move, max move, and finally his own fainting. The total is 12 without the 9 from fainting. Multiple copies of Galar Rush do not stack.
No countdown-related sync grid skills are required for this total.
#1 · Arezu (Summer 2026) & Basculegion21
- Sync grid: Head Start 1: 1 × 1 use = 1
- I Pack Quite a Punch!: 2 × 1 use = 2
- Own Ally Faints: Sync CD ↓9 (Lim. 2): 9 × 2 uses = 18
Of the total of 21, 18 requires two allied sync pairs to faint. Entry and moves alone provide 3. She cannot deliver 21 in a team where no one faints.
Required tile: Head Start 1. Including the path: 23/70 energy, 6 tiles.
#3 · Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos (Normal Form)15
- First entry in Normal Form: 1 × 1 use = 1
- Changing to Terastal Form: 2 × 1 use = 2
- Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm (non-Stellar): 3 × 2 uses = 6
- First entry in Stellar Form: 3 × 1 use = 3
- Rainbow Jewel Tera Starstorm: 3 × 1 use = 3
Use Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm twice before becoming Stellar, then use her sync move to change to Stellar Form and use Rainbow Jewel Tera Starstorm. Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm has no reduction of 3 in Stellar Form. Reductions are counted in the activation order for each form.
No countdown-related sync grid skills are required for this total.
#4 · Blue (Anniversary 2026) & Dragonite13
- Split-Second Extreme Speed (before Mega Evolution; first success): 3 × 1 use = 3
- Unrivaled Giga Impact (after Mega Evolution; first success): 9 × 1 use = 9
- Sync grid: Adrenaline 1: 1 × 1 use = 1
3 from his buddy move before Mega Evolution + up to 9 from his buddy move after Mega Evolution + 1 from Adrenaline 1 after his first sync move. The maximum of 9 depends on his sync buff, so it is not guaranteed immediately after his first sync move. Restoring buddy move MP does not reactivate a reduction that works only on the first successful attack.
Required tile: Adrenaline 1. Including the path: 16/70 energy, 4 tiles.
#4 · Harmony & Feraligatr13
- Kalos Rush (three Kalos sync pairs): 3 × 1 use = 3
- Rushing Rapids Aqua Jet: 2 × 3 uses = 6
- 6★ EX Sprint: 3 × 1 use = 3
- Sync grid: Adrenaline 1: 1 × 1 use = 1
3 from Kalos Rush with three Kalos pairs, 2 × 3 from Rushing Rapids Aqua Jet, 3 after her first sync move from her Sprint role, and 1 from Adrenaline 1. Kalos Rush is counted once even if several team members have the skill.
Required tile: Adrenaline 1. Including the path: 20/70 energy, 4 tiles.
#6 · Dawn (Champion) & Palkia (Origin Forme)12
- Move-level-5 sync grid: on entry: 3 × 1 use = 3
- Ideal World Spacial Rend (after her own sync move; first success): 9 × 1 use = 9
The entry reduction of 3 requires a sync grid skill at move level 5. The buddy move with a reduction of 9 unlocks after the pair uses its own sync move and activates the reduction only on the first successful attack. Another ally’s sync move cannot unlock it.
Required tile: No Chance of Losing! Including the path: 0/70 energy, 2 tiles.
#6 · Lucas (Champion) & Dialga (Origin Forme)12
- Move-level-5 sync grid: on entry: 3 × 1 use = 3
- Brilliant Diamond Roar of Time (after his own sync move; first success): 9 × 1 use = 9
The entry reduction of 3 requires a sync grid skill at move level 5. The buddy move with a reduction of 9 unlocks after the pair uses its own sync move and activates the reduction only on the first successful attack. Another ally’s sync move cannot unlock it.
Required tile: Our World’s Flowing Time. Including the path: 0/70 energy, 2 tiles.
#8 · Skyla (Summer 2025) & Jumpluff11
- To the Skies! (2 initial MP + 1 guaranteed recovery): 1 × 3 uses = 3
- Sync grid: when using Sunny Day (2 initial MP + 1 guaranteed recovery): 1 × 3 uses = 3
- Let’s Have Some Fun! (first status move by her Pokémon): 2 × 1 use = 2
- 6★ EX Sprint: 3 × 1 use = 3
1 × 2 initial Trainer move uses, 1 × 2 initial Sunny Day uses from her sync grid, 2 on her Pokémon’s first status move, and 3 after her first sync move from Sprint give 9. Guaranteed recovery after her first sync move adds one use each of her Trainer move and Sunny Day, bringing the total to 11. Use some MP from both moves before the recovery.
Required tiles: Sync Burst 1; Sunny Day: Use Status P-Move: Sync CD ↓ 9. Including the paths: 26/70 energy, 5 tiles.
#9 · Bede (Alt.) & Rapidash (Galarian Form)10
- Galar Rush (three Galar sync pairs): 3 × 1 use = 3
- Idyllic Calm Mind: 1 × 3 uses = 3
- Superawakening: after his first Trainer move: 1 × 1 use = 1
- EX role: Sprint: 3 × 1 use = 3
Assumes three Galar sync pairs, Superawakening Lv. 5, and an EX role of Sprint. Idyllic Calm Mind can be used only when he is not in a pinch. The Superawakening reduction of 1 after his first Trainer move is included.
No countdown-related sync grid skills are required for this total.
#9 · Mela & Armarouge10
- Explosive Mystical Fire (maximum conditions met on each use): 3 × 2 uses = 6
- This’ll Torch Ya!: 1 × 1 use = 1
- 6★ EX Sprint: 3 × 1 use = 3
Explosive Mystical Fire provides up to 3 × 2 depending on how much her Defense is lowered. It turns lowered stats into raised stats after use, so Defense must be lowered again to reach the maximum on both uses. The total also includes 1 from her Trainer move and 3 after her first sync move from Sprint.
No countdown-related sync grid skills are required for this total.
Some reductions have no usage limit
Not all countdown reduction is a resource you use up. The following effects can repeat while their conditions hold. Their totals grow with battle length, so they are not added as fixed amounts to the finite stock.
Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns.
| Sync pairs | Additional reduction | Conditions and counting |
|---|---|---|
| Sygna Suit N & Kyurem (Black Kyurem) | 2 per successful attack | Too Prepared 9. Activates on each successful attack with Freeze Shock, which has no usage limit. Since the move requires a charging phase, this does not mean a reduction of 2 on every action. |
| Arc Suit Blue & Pidgeot | 3 per use | Sacred Hurricane. Unlocked by raised Sp. Atk; the reduction can repeat only while his sync buff has not increased. |
| Gladion (Academy) & Porygon-Z | 1 per use | Hyper Beam Z. Unlocked by a team sync move and locked again when used. Use another team sync move before using it again. |
| Sygna Suit Red & Charizard | 1 at a 20% chance | Propulsion 1. A chance-based trigger after a successful move. It can be checked repeatedly, but the reduction is not guaranteed on each use. |
Do not read the reduction amount from the number at the end of a skill name alone. For example, Too Prepared 9 reduces the countdown by 2. Check the description for the actual amount.
MP recovery does not always add more reduction
Skyla (Summer 2025) can add 1 from her Trainer move and 1 from her Sunny Day sync grid skill because her grid guarantees one MP recovery for all her moves after her first sync move. Initial MP alone gives 9; guaranteed recovery raises it to 11.
By contrast, the reductions from Dawn (Champion)’s Ideal World Spacial Rend and Blue (Anniversary 2026)’s Unrivaled Giga Impact apply only on the first successful attack. Recovering their MP does not let you count another reduction of 9.
Comparison rules used here
- Move level 5, 6★ EX, and the EX role are unlocked; where applicable, the required Superawakening Lv. 5 is used. No lucky skills. We verified that each pair’s relevant countdown-related sync grid skills can be selected together, including their paths, within 70 energy.
- Single-player, with no re-entry. We count initial MP and guaranteed recovery from one-time triggers, one max move by the pair, and similar sources. We do not add favorable rolls from chance-based MP recovery or infinite accumulation from repeatable recovery and reduction.
- The ordinary countdown reduction from using a move is not added. The shared max move allowance is assigned to one use by the pair itself. We distinguish the pair’s sync move from allies’ sync moves, pre- and post-form-change effects, and first-success-only effects.
- Regional Rush skills assume three sync pairs from the relevant region, for a maximum of 3. Skills with the same Rush name do not stack. HP, lowered stats, sync buffs, fainting, and other conditions are also assumed to meet each pair’s maximum requirements. This does not mean a pair can set up every condition alone or that every candidate can reproduce the total on the same team.
- Nominal totals are not capped by the remaining countdown. We do not evaluate setup actions, move gauge, opposing resistances, animation time, or win rate. Where the original text does not state precise thresholds for variable effects, we do not infer them.
Entry reductions can help with a fast opening; post-sync or buddy move reductions can help with repeated sync moves; ongoing reductions can suit longer battles. For your own team of three, check activation timing and wasted countdown reduction as well as the total.
