Move-Cycle Time Ranking, Excluding Sync Moves | 40 Moves Averaging 10 Seconds or More

Pokémas Research Lab / Measurement Notes

In Pokémon Masters EX, stat changes, healing, and field setup take time alongside attacks. When trying to fit more actions into a timed battle, the processes that follow a move also matter.

This measurement covers only sync pairs with a master passive skill. We recorded ourselves playing time-limited content and read the remaining-time display visible on the game screen in that footage. We did not analyze the app’s internals or calculate animation times from internal game data.

From 253 measured moves across 318 intervals in our own recordings, we selected the 40 moves whose mean decrease in the displayed countdown was at least 10 seconds and listed them from longest to shortest. The highest observed mean was Gloria (Anniversary 2025) & Cinderace’s Meteor Quick Attack at 17.10 seconds.

The interval runs from the start of a move’s execution to the start of the next action by an ally or opponent. It includes additional effects and waiting as well as the animation. Time is measured by the decrease in the remaining-time display on screen; real time while that display is paused does not add to the value.

This is a reference ranking across observed conditions. Of the 40 listed moves, 35 have only one measurement, and settings such as battle speed remain unconfirmed. Formes, target counts, and additional effects can change the time.

Moves with an observed mean of at least 10 seconds

Where a sync pair and move have multiple measurements, we use their mean. The observed range runs from the shortest to the longest measurement.

Two decimal places display the aggregation result; they do not guarantee 0.01-second accuracy or establish a definitive order between closely timed moves. The 10-second threshold is applied to the observed mean before rounding.

Top-ten highlights

The top ten contain nine buddy moves and one Trainer move. Here are the effects observed during those actions.

1. Meteor Quick Attack — 17.10 s

Gloria (Anniversary 2025) & Cinderace

This buddy move had the highest observed mean. A damage display on the center opponent appeared alongside Special Break, sync-countdown reduction, boosts, and healing on all three allies. The measured action includes several additional processes.

2. Strike Them Down! — 16.32 s

Volo (Alt.) & Giratina

The only Trainer move in the top ten. Attack and critical-hit-rate increases, Ghost Zone, boosts, and sync-countdown reduction were visible. A setup move can also take a long time when its subsequent buff processing is included.

3. Red-Ripe Sunny Day — 16.18 s

Kieran & Hydrapple

The action includes sunlight, boosts, stat changes, and healing notifications. Its measured time covers the surrounding processing as well as the weather setup.

4. Graceful Hyper Beam — 15.77 s

Irida (Anniversary 2025) & Typhlosion (Hisuian Form)

Damage displays on all three opponents were followed by Sync Move Boost, a next-move power-up display, and notifications related to field effects and stat drops. Several buffs and debuffs appeared during this action.

5. Ideal World Spacial Rend — 15.63 s

Dawn (Champion) & Palkia

The action includes field processing such as EX Dragon Zone. Its measured time covers the attack animation and subsequent processing until the next action begins.

6. The Original Thunder — 14.96 s

Red (1996) & Pikachu

Stat drops, paralysis and resistance notifications on all three opponents appeared alongside ally sync-countdown reduction and boosts. Processes affecting both sides followed the attack.

7. Thunderous Roar Wild Charge — 14.84 s

Ethan (Champion) & Raikou

The two measurements were 13.10 and 16.57 seconds, a difference of 3.47 seconds. The latter also recorded a failed-healing notification and HP recovery on Raikou. The variation shows why the observed range should be considered alongside the accompanying processes.

8. Blooming Mortal Spin — 14.64 s

Geeta & Glimmora

Defense drops on all three opponents and a Physical Moves Up Next display on an ally were observed. The action includes both debuffs across the opposing team and an ally buff.

9. Relic Song of Wonder — 14.24 s

Rosa (Champion) & Meloetta

The three measurements were 12.45, 15.08, and 15.18 seconds. Critical-hit rate, accuracy, physical and special boosts, sleep, Defense increases, and healing notifications differed between actions. Formes also remain unresolved, so this is a reference mean across mixed conditions.

10. Treasured Scales Outrage — 14.07 s

Red (Anniversary 2025) & Charizard

Sunlight-related power-up and special-boost notifications were observed. The measurement includes subsequent buff processing; future comparisons will investigate the time attributable to each effect.

Reading the measurements

This comparison covers the moves measured so far among sync pairs with a master passive skill. It is not a definitive ranking covering every move in that group. Stat caps, status conditions, and field effects can alter damage displays and additional-effect processing, so the values need not apply unchanged to every battle.

A longer action does not by itself make a move weaker. Ally buffs, opposing debuffs, and healing also have value. We will repeat measurements under matching conditions and update the means and observed ranges.
