Top 10 Superawakening Growth Rates | Featured Damage and Ally Support Across 126 Pairs

SciPocket · 2026-10-27 · Comparing 126 eligible pairs already released by October 26, 2026

How much does the same 3-pair team’s damage change when Superawakening rises from 0 to 5? We separately search for setups with the featured pair as the main attacker and setups that strengthen the other 2 pairs, comparing them against 3 opponents over 180 seconds. SA0 means Superawakening Lv.0, and SA5 means Lv.5. For the regular 124 pairs, attacks that are not supereffective deal 0 damage in this comparison. The 2 Normal-type pairs are marked separately as neutral references with all attacks dealing neutral damage. Rankings use growth rates and include those 2 neutral references. Comparison values for all 126 pairs are shown, including 0 damage, 0 increases, and negative differences.

Ranking eligibility scope

We examined all 126 pairs eligible for Superawakening as of October 26, 2026, and compared the growth of one selected team per pair. Personal damage uses the featured pair's cumulative damage; damage support uses the cumulative damage of the other two pairs. Each TOP 10 includes pairs whose effects were confirmed in this calculation and whose selected teams have no remaining unevaluated conditions affecting damage. The all-126 article also retains the values and reasons for pairs left outside the rankings. Palmer and Larry include separate reference comparisons with all attacks dealing neutral damage.

Comparison values are shown for all 126 pairs, including zero damage, zero gain, and negative differences. An unmodeled effect does not mean an effect is absent. Gains for the featured pair and its partners also include changes in action allocation and are not isolated causal contributions of the Superawakened Passive Skill.

TOP10 Own-Damage Growth Rates

Compared by the growth rate of damage dealt by the featured pair. The original single selected team is retained; no new search was run to maximize the growth rate.

Gloria & Zacian (Crowned Sword)Gloria & Zacian (Crowned Sword)
Strike / EX Tech

Enemy weakness: Steel
Personal damage: rank1

Selected focus: the featured pair as the main damage dealer. One representative team is shown for this pair. The same trio is compared at SA0 and SA5, with partners’ Superawakening unchanged; Sync Grids and actions are optimized separately. A weaker baseline team is not substituted to inflate the growth rate. Featured pair: Gloria & Zacian (Crowned Sword). Opponent weakness: Steel.

Only the featured pair changes between SA0 and SA5. The other 2 pairs have the same SA level in both conditions. At SA5, the featured pair must be the largest damage contributor. At SA0, its own damage remains the priority, but the main-attacker requirement is removed. Use “Recalculate with These 3 Pairs” on the linked page to try your own upgrade settings.

Changes to the featured pair: The 3 ranks of Physical Moves ↑ Next gained after Trainer moves are used for the pair’s own attacks, while the 1-count reduction on entry brings its sync move closer. Its own damage rises by about 131.2%, compared with about 96.6% for the whole team. The allies’ action allocation also changes, so both growth rates are worth comparing.

  • Sync move countdown −1 on entry
  • Own Physical Moves ↑ Next +3 after Trainer moves
  • Sync move critical-hit reliability is a separate benefit

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

The calculation confirms a sync countdown reduction of 1 on entry and 3 Physical Moves Up Next ranks for the user after trainer moves. The selected sync moves are already calculated as critical hits, so the additional reliability from the sync critical-hit-rate increase of 1 is not converted into another damage multiplier. This is a same-trio comparison with the featured pair as the main attacker.

SA5-exclusive effects: use affecting both the featured pair and its allies was confirmed.

Changes to the featured pair: This setup uses the max move power bonus while Attack is raised, then benefits from refreshing sunny weather after G-Max Fireball. In the selected Fire-type team, both the pair’s own damage and the team total rise by about 80.6%. The zones created by its other max moves are not used in this action sequence.

  • Higher max move power while Attack is raised
  • Sets or refreshes sunny weather after G-Max Fireball
  • Its role changes with the max move selected

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

The calculation confirms Attack-based max-move power and a +30-second refresh of EX sun after G-Max Fireball. The 2 zones tied to other, unselected max moves do not trigger. A warning remains about the ally Stoutland's own Defense increase and probabilistic sync scaling. That ally's index is 0 in both conditions, while only the featured pair's Fire damage is positive, so that warning alone does not withhold this pair from the ranking.

SA5-specific effects: personal use confirmed; ally benefit not confirmed.

Changes to the featured pair: Under the reference conditions where all attacks deal neutral damage, the pair’s own damage rises by about 75.3%, and the team total by about 65.4%. The setup uses the sync move bonus in Normal Zone, together with zone refreshes after a max move and a longer zone duration. It uses the same growth-rate metric as the other entries while keeping this difference in conditions explicit.

  • Higher sync move power in Normal Zone
  • Sets or refreshes Normal Zone after a max move
  • Normal Zone Extension 3 / all attacks deal neutral damage

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

The same trio is compared under a separate condition in which every attack is neutral. Replay confirmed the sync move power boost in Normal Zone, the extended EX Normal Zone after the max move, and Extension 3. The featured pair is the main damage dealer and has a finite own-damage growth rate. With the neutral condition clearly labeled, being a reference comparison alone is not a reason to withhold its rank.

SA5-exclusive effects: use affecting both the featured pair and its allies was confirmed.

There is no Normal-type weakness, so there is no reference value for a weakness matching this pair's own type.

The allied Komala’s random stat increases are not evaluated, so Komala’s special damage and the team total cover only the effects included in the model.

  • Normal Zone on entry and after the first sync move
  • Normal Zone Extension 3
  • Neutral conditions / some of the partner’s own damage is not evaluated

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

For the neutral-condition comparison, checked Normal Zone on initial entry and after the first sync move, its extension, and the actual multiplier on Normal-type moves. The partner’s unmodeled random increase is self-only and does not propagate to Larry’s stat conditions, team effects, countdown, or action-queue availability conditions. Larry’s own growth rate can be ranked within the model’s scope, while an unevaluated-effect note remains on the partner’s own special damage and the team total.

SA5-specific effects: personal use not confirmed; ally benefit not confirmed.

Komala’s random stat increase while asleep affects only Komala. It does not propagate to Larry’s own growth rate, but Komala’s special damage and the team growth rate include unevaluated effects. The neutral-condition badge is retained; complete reproduction of in-game behavior is not claimed.

There is no Normal-type weakness, so there is no reference value for a weakness matching this pair's own type.

Why Damage Support Was Selected: The opening Rock Zone enables the pair’s buddy move, while Physical Moves ↑ Next effects distributed when weather, terrain, or zone effects are activated support the other 2 pairs. Those 2 allies’ combined damage rises by about 19.6%. No direct Rock Zone multiplier is applied to the Dark-type attacks used here.

  • Sync move countdown −1 on entry
  • Opening Rock Zone prepares the buddy move
  • All allies gain Physical Moves ↑ Next +1 when weather, terrain, or a zone is activated

Confirmed route: sync acceleration and ally boosts. A one-step countdown reduction on entry, Rock Zone unlocking the featured pair’s buddy move, and Physical Moves ↑ Next for all allies when a field is set are confirmed. Rock Zone gives no direct multiplier to Dark-type moves. A generic warning remains for the sea-breeze-themed effect, but its implementation is confirmed by the actual SA4/SA5 initial-state difference and subsequent boost consumption.

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

The calculation confirms a sync countdown reduction of 1 on entry, the user's buddy-move unlock from Rock Zone and teamwide Physical Moves Up Next when a field is created. Rock Zone supplies no direct multiplier to Dark-type attacks. Why Damage Support Was Selected: This team supports the other 2 pairs through Paldea Circle (Defensive) after the first successful attack and first sync move, plus a countdown reduction after the first sync move. The allies’ combined damage rises by about 16.5%. A Defensive Circle also affects outgoing damage; we checked which attacks received its multiplier and how long it remained active.

  • Paldea Circle (Defensive) after the first attack and first sync move

Paths confirmed in the sequence: sync move countdown acceleration, weather, terrain, zones, and circles. Why Damage Support Was Selected: The 3-count reduction after the first sync move helps the allies reach their subsequent sync moves. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 12.0%. Reduced incoming damage from opponents with lowered Type Rebuff is a defensive benefit, so it is kept separate from the damage growth shown here.

  • Sync move countdown −3 after the first sync move
  • Helps allies reach subsequent sync moves
  • Incoming damage reduction is a defensive benefit

Why Damage Support Was Selected: This Dark-type team uses the 1-count reduction after the pair’s first Trainer move. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 11.8%. A different setup using Fairy Zone could also use its team move-power bonus, but the growth rate shown here comes from a sequence that makes use of the countdown reduction.

  • Sync move countdown −1 after the first Trainer move
  • Supports sync move progression in a Dark-type team
  • Fairy Zone effects belong to a different setup

Confirmed route: sync acceleration. A one-step countdown reduction after the first Trainer move is confirmed. The active field is Dark Zone, so the team power boost during Fairy Zone does not meet its condition. Stat-lowering immunity is treated separately as a defensive and reliability benefit. Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

Why Damage Support Was Selected: This team puts the pair in a supporting role, using the 2-count reduction on entry and the power boost to allies’ Dark-type moves. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 8.8%. It also has a Flying-type move-power bonus, but this comparison evaluates its support for the Dark-type attacks actually used.

  • Sync move countdown −2 on entry
  • Higher power for allies’ Dark-type moves
  • Support use without restricting the pair’s original role

Confirmed route: sync acceleration and ally power increases. A two-step countdown reduction on entry and the Dark-type power boost are confirmed on actual damaging ally attacks. No selected Flying-type attack deals positive damage, so the Flying-type boost adds nothing to this Dark damage. The ally-support route is assessed without restricting the featured pair’s role.

Why Damage Support Was Selected: The setup uses the 1-count reduction on entry and Kalos Circle (Defensive) after the first sync move. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 8.6%. The selected log confirms a 1.15× Circle multiplier on allies’ Dark-type attacks, showing how the pair can help a main attacker outside the Fighting type.

  • Sync move countdown −1 on entry
  • Kalos Circle (Defensive) after the first sync move, with extended duration
  • 1.15× Circle multiplier on the selected allied attacks

Paths confirmed in the sequence: sync move countdown acceleration, weather, terrain, zones, and circles. Confirmed the 1-count reduction on entry and Kalos Circle (Defensive) after the first sync move. Actual replay confirms a 1.15× Circle multiplier on allies’ Dark-type attacks; this counts as support without being restricted to the Support role.

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

A one-step sync countdown reduction on entry and Kalos Circle (Defensive) after the first sync are confirmed. Replays confirm a 1.15× Circle multiplier on allies’ Dark-type attacks. This counts as damage support without requiring the Support role.

SA5-exclusive effects: use affecting both the featured pair and its allies was confirmed.

The featured pair deals zero damage in this selected action sequence. This does not mean its Superawakening has no value when used as the main damage dealer.

Selected approach: prioritize damage from the other two pairs. One representative team is shown for this featured pair. The same trio is used at Superawakening0/5; other pairs' Superawakening levels remain fixed, while grids and action orders are searched independently. The before team is not deliberately weakened to inflate the growth rate. Featured pair: Brock & Kabutops; enemy weakness: Dragon.

Only the featured pair changes between SA0 and SA5. Its partners keep the same Superawakening level. Use “Recalculate this trio” after opening a link to try your own investment levels.

Why Damage Support Was Selected: The 1-count reduction on entry, plus Kanto Circle (Defensive) after the first sync move and its extended duration, support the Dragon-type main attackers. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 5.9%. Even with little direct damage from the featured pair, the 1.1× Circle multiplier on allies’ attacks gives it a role in this team.

  • Sync move countdown −1 on entry

  • 1.1× Circle multiplier on allies’ Dragon-type attacks

Confirmed route: sync acceleration and weather, terrain, Zones, or Circles. A one-step countdown reduction on entry, Kanto Circle (Defensive) after the first sync, and its extension are confirmed. A 1.1× Circle multiplier applies to allies’ Dragon-type moves.

Why Damage Support Was Selected: The selected team uses the countdown reduction on entry, and the other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 5.9%. The reduction after the pair’s own sync move and the team move-power bonus against poisoned opponents were not observed in this action sequence. This example separates the effects the pair has from the support it actually used here.

  • Sync move countdown −1 on entry
  • No sync move by the featured pair in this sequence
  • The team power bonus against poisoned opponents is inactive here

Confirmed route: sync acceleration. Countdown reduction on entry is confirmed. With no featured-pair sync move, the first-sync reduction does not activate. Poison conditions are not met by opponents with no status or with sleep; an unknown-sleep warning alone is not treated as proof that poison effects activate.

Scope of the effect review

Calculation Coverage Audited

Confirmed the countdown reduction on entry. The pair uses no sync move, so the reduction after the first sync move does not activate. The poison condition is not met on the selected targets, which have no status condition or are asleep; an unknown-sleep warning alone does not establish activation of the poison effect.

SA5-exclusive effects: use affecting both the featured pair and its allies was confirmed.

The featured pair deals zero damage in this selected action sequence. This does not mean its Superawakening has no value when used as the main damage dealer.

An unobserved SA5 effect is not automatically classified as unused. Defensive, accuracy, HP and gauge-wait benefits outside the evaluation scope are distinguished from damage conditions that were actually omitted from the values.

Why Damage Support Was Selected: This support setup uses the 1-count reduction on entry, plus Unova Circle (Defensive) after the first sync move and its extended duration. The other 2 pairs’ combined damage rises by about 5.4%. It uses the 1.1× Circle multiplier on allies’ Dragon-type attacks rather than the featured pair’s own Poison-type damage.

Settings and how to read the numbers

Opponents and Duration
As of 2026-10-26, 126 released sync pairs were eligible for Superawakening. Each was fixed as one member of a team and compared against 3 opponents over 180 seconds. Comparison values are provided for all 126 pairs.
Team
All roles and types are allowed. A Support role is optional. Normal-type sync pairs are also included.
Weakness
The standard 124 pairs use 17 possible weaknesses. A weakness the featured pair cannot attack is marked separately as not applicable. No Normal weakness is created, and damage from attacks that are not supereffective is set to 0. The setting that restricts attacks to a single type is not used. Only Palmer & Regigigas and Larry & Dudunsparce use the user-requested reference condition of no weakness and neutral damage for everyone: nonsupereffective attacks are allowed, and no supereffective multiplier is applied. These 2 pairs are also included in this ranking if their growth rates are finite and their effect audits pass, with the different calculation conditions clearly labeled.
Search priority
Own-damage setups prioritize the featured pair’s cumulative damage; damage-support setups prioritize the other 2 pairs’ cumulative damage. The team total remains the actual sum of damage dealt by all members. At SA5, an own-damage setup requires the featured pair’s damage to be positive and at least as high as each ally’s damage; ties are allowed.
Upgrades and Calculation
Move level 5, EX and EX Role enabled, Sync Grid energy cap 70, a 19-second cycle, and zero initial sync buffs. Defense and Sp. Def of 83, stat-reduction mitigation of 5, and the 19-second cycle are shared comparison assumptions, not measured constants common to every in-game stage.
SA0/SA5
Only the featured pair changes between Superawakening levels 0 and 5. The other two keep the same level in both cases (5 where eligible). Sync Grids and actions are optimized separately for the same trio and weakness. At SA0, a featured-damage search still prioritizes that pair’s damage but does not require it to outdamage each partner.
One Selected Team
Each search must include the featured pair, either as the main damage dealer or to strengthen the other two pairs. A Support-role pair is optional. High-damage SA5 candidates are simulated in detail for each objective, then compared with only the featured pair changed to SA0 in the same trio and weakness. Where both objectives were tested, candidates improving both team total and the priority damage metric are preferred; the priority metric’s absolute gain and related criteria select one representative team. The published ranking uses that team’s growth rate.
Rank
Featured-damage rows are ranked by the featured pair’s growth; ally-support rows use the other two pairs’ growth after effect review. Rates are (SA5 − SA0) ÷ SA0 using unrounded integer indices. Both the priority metric and team total must increase. A zero SA0 baseline gives an undefined rate; a change from zero to positive is not ranked as infinity. Ties use priority-metric gain, team-total gain, SA5 total damage, then ID. The two neutral-damage reference pairs remain eligible with condition labels. Original role imposes no restriction. The same team selected for damage performance is retained; it is not replaced by a separate search designed to maximize the percentage.
Displayed Values
Estimated damage is each cumulative index divided by 83 and rounded down. The difference is “rounded-down SA5 minus rounded-down SA0.” Growth rates use the unrounded integer indices. A change from 0 to a positive value is labeled “New Damage,” while an unconfirmed value is shown as “—.” These are not measured scores; rounding and actual in-game timing can produce differences.

The SA0→5 difference includes the stat and move-power upgrades at SA1–4, as well as the effects unique to SA5.The split between the featured pair and the other 2 pairs reflects who dealt the damage in the reoptimized action sequences. It also includes changes in action counts, sync move assignments, sync buffs, field effects, and sync grid allocation. It cannot be treated as the isolated contribution of SA5-exclusive effects alone.

These are model estimates within an audited calculation scope for each effect unique to the featured pair’s SA5, not a complete reproduction of all in-game performance. The search narrows its candidates, so it does not guarantee the maximum over every team, sync grid, and action sequence. “No candidate found” means none was found within this search scope, not proof that it is impossible in the game. Rows where the featured pair did not attack, or where differences are 0 or negative, remain in the all-126 table. Rows with unevaluated damage conditions that could change their ranking are withheld. Unevaluated benefits such as durability, accuracy reliability, and move gauge waiting time are not assumed to have zero value.

Damage over time from poison, burns and similar effects is excluded from this comparison's index. This is distinct from effects that strengthen attacks against targets with a status condition.
